Can You Explain Stinky Colored Water From His Anus And Is It Something To Be Worried About?

Question: My husband went to the toilet and did his usual number 2. When he stood up to get a washcloth from the sink he gushed a bunch of stinky colored water from his anus. This is a first and he is nervous. Can you explain this and is it something to be worried about?

I want to know some more details about the coloured water gushing out of his anus.
What color it was?
Did he have constipation, diarrhea or normal stool when he went to toilet?
Did he have abdominal pain, anal pain, haemorrhoid problems or fissures?

The liquid was muddy dirty water colored. Usually I can never smell that he even used the toilet but after this event happened the smell was very strong. No blood, no constipation, no diarrhea and yes just a normal stool. No pain what so ever, this was a huge XXXXXXX to him when it happened and has him kind of freaked out. No hemorrhoid's issues and no fissure. He is a daily pooper with no trouble, sometimes more than once a day. He never gets constipation.
One other thing I have noticed is in the early mornings when he gets up he starts hacking and ends up sometimes throwing up bile. This has been going on for months now.

I think he may have pooped mucus after the bowel movement.

If it happened only once without any other symptoms most likely it is not important and not indicating any serious issue.
The vomiting may be related to reflux or using prilosec.
If it happens other times also accompanied by abdominal pain , blood in stools it may need to get evaluated.
