I sent you last years results. Just wanting to know if you think I will need a biopsy and what your thoughts are if its worrisome?. My husband will be away for the month I have to go to doctor and if I need a biopsy we have to change his plans but need to do that a month in advance otherwise I have to go to appt alone.

Hi,

I went through the scan done last year. The scan reveal presence of multiple nodules - the condition referred to as multinodular goitre. Usually this is a benign but times it become otherwise. Biopsy is the diagnostic test to determine the nature of nodules. Your treating doctor/surgeon will be able to decide based on how the nodule progressed during the course of years.

In other words, yes you will need the biopsy. Your doctor will decide when biopsy could be performed.
