Question : I found paperwork for a visit my wife had with a doctor. It read as follows: “thinprep Pap test NO HPV for encounter for gynological examination without abnormal finding” what does the word “encounter” mean?

The word encounter here just means 'during' i.e. during gynecological examination. Definitely it does not mean anything else.
Look at their English language use for reporting. The strange way of reporting I have seen in my thirty years of experience!
