Question : can you take both duloxetine (using for nerve pain 30mg twice a day) and fluoxetine 40mg once daily (for depression) i know they are both in the same class?
Brief Answer:
Can't be taken together.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
Duloxetine and fluoxetine can't be used together.
They are both in the same drug class so can't be used together.
Using them together may cause serotonin syndrome including symptoms of confusion, hallucinations, seizures , increased heart rate, shivering etc
Talk to your neurologist about it.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
