Question: Cancer risk from braces and invisaligners?

My 15 year old son has been suggested braces or invisaligners for shape correction.
We have oral cancer history in the family (we recently lost my my wife’s father to oral cancer). Our fear or braces is compounded by a case I read online where it has been mentioned that braces might lead to root damage, gum disease with a case mentioned of myofibroblastic sarcoma. Our questions:
1. Have you come across cancer cases arising from braces and/or invisaligners? I am not sure if age matters (my child is 15 years old)
2. Would invisaligners be a safer option compared to braces? Or would it entail the same risk as braces?
