Dr. Gyanshankar,
Some of my friends told me that it could be a bruised rib since i was playing volleyball yesterday, and i dove a lot. The pain started last night, and i still have it, but it is way less intense than last night. Could it be that?

Hi,
Thanks for the follow up.
Rather than bruised rib, it could be a muscle strain.
Is local pain present on pressing the site?
You need to get a chest xray done.
