Question : my 11 month old child is having chest congestiona nd coughing badly. its being almost 20 days. he is improving but doc has not prescribed any antibiotic. want to know the medication given to him is right or not?

Cold attacks are common in kids below 3 years.
Mostly it is viral , unless fever and symptoms do not improve in few days we do not give antibiotics even if there is chest congestion .
Your doctor must have done rightly so. Unnecessary antibiotics would do more harm than good.
You can continue treatment as advised by your doctor safely.
