                                            Thanks for posting the query.
If the child has fever try sponging the child with XXXXXXX warm water and give him analgesics like Motrin.
Give him sufficient fluids and juices to drink.Only mild non oily and non spicy food .
If the fever persists or increases consult the child specialist, to know the cause of fever.
You can do investigations like CBC (complete blood tests) and urine routine to be done to rule out any infection.
You will have to go to an ER if
1.Your child has a purple or red rash.
2.A change in consciousness occurs or seizure occurs.
3.Your child's breathing is shallow, rapid, or difficult.
4.Your child has a headache that will not go away.
5.Your child starts to vomit.
