Brief Answer:
Salivation is normal, Weight & Height normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

I went through your complaints and I can understand your concerns.

Coming to your concerns about weight and height, these are in normal range as per the growth charts.

Excessive salivation and drooling of saliva is common in infants around this age group and the saliva helps him in taking semisolid complimentary feeds.

Drooling of saliva starts around 4 to 5 months and it peaks at the onset of tooth eruption and you can manage this problem by using a bib.

You can continue to give Ragi / Soya / Rice porridge and Cerelac as you are giving now and you can add one more semisolid feed in a day time depending on his acceptance.

Salivation with drooling of saliva is normal in this age group; His weight and length are in normal range, and you can give 3 feeds of semisolid infant food.

Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
1.No,2.from 10 months,3. No,4.gentle cleaning,

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

Thank you for getting back.

Cow's milk to be started after the age of 1 year. Cow's milk is associated with the development of allergies in the child if it is introduced before the age of 1 year.

You can try giving home made non-vegetarian soups like chicken from the age of 10 months. But before introducing any new food item, give only one item at a time in a small quantity and gradually increase over 1 week to look for any allergic reactions to new food.

Excess of salivation doesn't cause any side effects like tiredness.

At the stage of teeth eruption, you can use your neatly washed and clean finger to clean his teeth by doing gentle massage or you can use finger brush with very soft bristles.

You can continue the baby products at present which you are using currently if they don't have any issues with the child.

Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
Use moisturizing soaps and lotions.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,

You are welcome.

Thank you for getting back.

During winter season, the body becomes dry, so it is better to use moisturizing baby soaps, lotions, and creams.

You have to apply a baby moisturizing lotion twice or thrice daily during winter to protect the child skin from getting dried.

There are many brands of kids products in the market like XXXXXXX & XXXXXXX Dermadew, Doy, and Himalaya products.

It is very difficult to suggest a single brand which suits to your child skin.

Apply any new product in small area over skin, watch for any skin change. If there is no skin changes like rash, then you can use that product for regular use.

And don't change the products often. If the child is comfortable with one product, continue to use that.

Hope I have answered your query, if you have any clarification please let me know.
