Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

I need to know answers for few questions to answer your query better.
How long is your daughter having fever?
Does she have any other associated complaints?

Is there any history of cough or cold?
Does your child have burning urination and frequency of urination?
Does his throat hurt while swallowing?
Does she have chills associated with fever?

If the fever does not subside with simple crocin at adequate dosage then we may have to add other antipyretics like Ibuprofen etc. Normally we give Paracetamol at 15mg/kg per dose and repeat the dose after a gap of 4 hrs if the child continues to have fever. Calculate and see if you have given Paracetamol at the appropriate dosage.

Tepid sponging may help. Do some tepid sponging.
Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.

My daughter started having fever since yesterday only. Two days ago she complained of earache so i gave her ibugesic plus and she never complained after only one dose. Regarding cough and cold, it started only two-three months back when we moved to bangalore from punjab. First her doctor prescribed relent and then L-Montus. A week back i changed her paed. And took her to Apollo. He diagnosed her with allergic bronchitis and put her on allegra syrup and bricanyl syrup. She doesnt complain of any burning or pain while urinating and i havent noticed any fever related chills .
