Question : Headache for 4 days. Today it turned into headache, sore throat, congested nose and ears, fever (increasing despite Tylenol extra strength), vomiting, body aches head to toe, post nasal drip. I started lamotrigine on the 5th of this month for possible seizures. Also take meclizine. Concerned my symptoms could be related to lamotrigine. Not sure if it’s the flu

Hello,

Headache is a possible adverse effect of Lamotrigine use in up to 30% of patients.

So, this is a possible explanation for the headaches.

Anyway, this will be clear after the flu, because the flu itself may result in headaches too.

So, if the headaches persist after the flu we can say that is Lamotrigine use the cause of the headaches.
