Question : i sent a message about a half hour ago asking if I could take Xanax with fentanyl patch or should I get off Xanax (3mg daily)) totally before I start fentanyl. I never received an answer.

my main question is if I have to quit Xanax completely before trying fentanyl. I really need the Xanax, and if so, I probably will not get into fentanyl.

Dear Ma'am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but taking Xanax with the fentanyl patch can lead to serious central nervous system depression which can lead to serious side effects including respiratory distress, coma, and even death.
