Could A Bulge In The Midsection Be Because Of Hiatal Hernia?

default
Posted on Tue, 20 Apr 2021
Question: Bulge in midsection. Shaped like "mango?"? Just below breasts. When laying down & when using abs getting out of bed. No pain. Had V-Sleeve bariatric 10 years ago & had hiatal hernia repair. I know the hernia is in need of repair again...And Thyroid "burned out" & I've gained weight...

Brief Answer:
Can be abdominal hernia.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A XXXXXXX shaped bulge just below the breasts is likely to be related to abdominal hernia. This is a bulge of intra abdominal structures from the abdominal wall. This is not related to hiatus hernia.
It is best to get yourself examined by your physician for confirmation of diagnosis.
I hope this answers your query.
