Question : My glucose and a1c , after steady state for years, XXXXXXX precipitously in mid 2013 and has stayed steady at these higher numbers ever since. Could a change in drugs or vitamins have caused this? Could a change from acyclovir to simvastatin cause this? My exercise (vigorous), weight, and diet have remained essentially the same. Thanks for your input. XXXXXX

What are your numbers?

The answer to your question. Glucose ranged from about 110 to 118 before September 2013, then jumped to about 130 to 140 thereafter. Testing was done about 2 times a year. A1c from 6.1 to 6.3, then jumped to 6.7 to 7.1.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Brief Answer:
No need to worry!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
With an A1C of 7.1%, there is no reason to be concerned. This is well below the goal for you which is under 8. You are ver good.
I wish you well and hopefully you stop bothering about this. There is no added risk for complications for you with this values.
