Question: I am 41 years old male. married and having one child of 9 years. I've been having anxiety disorder since my mother's death in 1997 due to XXXXXXX disease. I'm undertaking counseling and also on Restyl on SOS basis since then. I'm non diabetic and no other issue except stress and anxiety issues and lately sleep disturbances and issues going to sleep. I was told to take serum total testesteron test which came as 34ng. I'm concerned about this and need an endocrinologist opinion.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

A serum total testosterone level of 34ng/dL in a 41-year-old male is considered low. Testosterone is an important hormone for male sexual development and function, as well as for overall health and well-being. Low testosterone levels can contribute to symptoms such as fatigue, reduced libido, mood changes, and difficulties with concentration and memory.

However, it's crucial to note that diagnosing low testosterone requires a comprehensive evaluation, including a thorough physical examination.
It's also worth mentioning that anxiety and stress can sometimes affect hormone levels, including testosterone. Treating the underlying anxiety disorder may help improve testosterone levels to some extent.
You can start oral testosterone medication at low doses.

Thank you for your reply. I understand what you mentioned. One thing I'm missed mentioning if that I'm taking Rosuvas 5 mg once a day since 10 years or so now as my LDL was high. I was told to take this life long by my GP then. My cholesterol test last done shows LDL of 76, HDL of 50, VLDL 30. TOTAL 156. TryG of 136.
Hba1c was 5.6%
BP stays 100/60 sitting position. HR 64.
I also used to take Lecope 5mg daily for about two years for skin allergy. That's now stopped since 6 months. Can any of these also be important for my low testosterone levels and what advise would you give. Secondly, what medication should I take and for how long and disagree please. Thank you so much.

Now for your second question, you are taking correct medicine.
And these medicines are for lifelong.
Continue rosuvas, Tab because it will keep lipid profile under control and prevent development of cardiac disease.
For skin allergy, Tab don't take medicine continously.
Take for few days whenever required and then stop.
