Brief Answer:
About breast discharge

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Nipple discharge may be due to hormonal pathologies or local dilatation of the breast ductules.
You need to check prolactin level (at 8 a clock after a quiet sleep) and thyroid function (TSH) as often an underactive thyroid may be the cause of a high prolactin.

If the prolactin level results high, an MRI of the pituitary gland will be suggested to rule out pituitary adenoma.

A breast ultrasound is also recommended in these cases for local pathologies.

I'd still suggest there is no need to get worried as usually the pathologies causing it are not serious ones and can be quiet treatable.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
