Could Burning Sensation And Pain Along An Urgency To Urinate Be Due To Something Other Than UTI?
bladder disorder or stone
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
if your urinalysis is clear (no nitrates, no white blood cells, no bacteria) then either a renal stone stuck right before the bladder or functional bladder disorders may present with the same symptoms. A renal stone usually starts with flank pain and nausea. The flank pain moves to the front as the stone descends towards the bladder. When the stone is in the ureter right before entering the bladder it may get stuck and cause symptoms. These symptoms can be indistinguishable from a urinary tract infection. An overactive bladder is a functional disorder that causes urgency. Interstitial cystitis is another diagnosis that can be considered after everything else has been excluded.
