Question: I have had bronchitis/sinuitus for appx 5 weeks. Started taking antibiotics this week. I am having slight pain under my right breast and also through to my back. Is this from all the coughing that I have been doing?

Brief Answer:
it is a likely cause

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Coughing can cause strain of the muscles in the chest and upper back, so it can cause the pain that you are experiencing.

Using a cough suppressant and also anti inflammatory pain medication may help if the pain is severe.
Anti inflammatory medication eg naproxen or cataflam or ibuprofen

Cough suppressants such as robitussin can be used to reduce the coughing. They can be used along with the antibiotics.

If the pain is severe or does not improve then you should be seen by your doctor.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other question.
