Brief Answer:
Change your lifestyle and diet....

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking.
I read carefully all your concerns and understood your concerns.

Your symptoms are typical for GERD ( acid reflux ) and I would like to suggest changing your lifestyle as follows:
- avoid cofee, chocolate and tea.
- avoid spicy food
- eat often and small portions
- avoid laying down 3 hours after eating
- avoid unnecessary stress.
- increase physical activity.
- use a healthy diet reach in fresh fruits and vegetables, poor in animal fats and diary.
- use antacids ( Malox )
- use PPI like Prilosec OTC
- Use two pillow when you lay down.
This will help to relieve your symptoms and to reduce GERD ( acid reflux ).

With regards to heat pad it may help a bit reducing stomach spasms. The ice doesn't help in that case.

Hope this was of help!
Wish you health!
