Could It Be A Bit Of IBS And Gallstones?
Question: I am under investigation for bowel cancer. I have to go for a colonscopy in 3 weeks time I am absolutely terrified of a positive result. I am only 48.
My bowel habit has changed in the fact that my stools are very soft and sometimes I can go 3 times a day, my normal bowel habit was once or twice a day. My stools are loose now. I also feel constipated for most of the days and feel that my bowel is not empting. I also have gallstones and my poo has been yellowish but I have been told that could be related to the gallstones. I have been under so much stress lately caring for my elderly parents, my father is very demanding. I have suffered from anxiety and depression from my teenage years. I do have pain in my stomach particularly left side. I also have some gas at times.
I had my stomach checked my doctor where he pressed on it and he said it was soft and firm. I also had an examination of the rectal area and nothing was found.
Blood tests have been done of Liver and Kidneys and these were fine. I was also tested for coleaic disease and this was negative.
There is also a history in the family of IBS and that has also been mentioned.
The wait is the worst and I am just looking for some advice.
I also have been diagnosed with gallstones could these be causing my problems.
Could it be a bit of IBS and gallstones.
