Question : I had a hysterectomy over 25 years ago. I suffer now with RA and neuropathy . I’ve always been a smoker, but I have now quit for two weeks. My problem other then the pain I suffer with because of RA, is that I get slow tired, so sleepy, no energy. That’s probably why I smoked. Could lack of estrogen be the reason for the no energy and sleepiness?
Brief Answer:
Check thyroid function
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I would not blame low estrogen for sleepiness because usually they cause insomnia.
I would recommend to check thyroid function as an underactive thyroid can be manifested with the symptoms you mentioned.
Hope the information will help.
