Could Lumpy Skin On The Thighs Be Due To Cellulite Or Something Else?

Question: This is the oddest thing! My thighs have all of a sudden noticable cellulite, one is like a baseball size. no pain yet or red. just rode ten miles on my bike. In feb i got two blood clots in a leg after taking the birth control pill. On cumidin (sp) Should I go to the doctor? Any chance this is something bigger going on?
Brief Answer:
It doesn't look like Cellulitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
It doesn't look like Cellulitis. In Cellulitis, the skin will be red , painful and in some patients, fever will be present.
As it occurred after exertion, hematoma (collection of blood)has to be excluded.
I prefer an Ultrasound of the affected area to confirm the Diagnosis.
Nothing to worry.
Please consult your doctor and proceed further.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

What would you be looking for with an ultrasound?
Brief Answer:
Ultrasound will give a clue regarding content.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The main use of Ultrasound is to differentiate between a CYSTIC(fluid filled)or Solid swelling. If Fluid( Blood) is accumulated,it can be easily identified by Ultrasound. The advantage of Ultrasound is that it is a simple, non invasive investigation.
