Could Medication Taken To Reduce White Blood Cell Count Have Lead To A Fever?

Question: I was wondering, My wife had a white blood cell count at 18000 and she was tested for leukemia and it came back negative. after several weeks and medication to get her count down it is now down around 7000. She is now experiencing a fever of 100.9. Could this be caused by the drop in white blood cell counts. She went to the doctors and they did numerous tests and cannot find the cause of her fever.
Brief Answer:
Bloods and urine culture sensitivity test
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The normal range for the white blood cell count is usually between 4,300 and 10,800 cells per cubic millimeter of blood
Your wifes wbc count is normal
But since she is having fever i would advise her to do a blood and urine culture sensitivity test.
If bacteria is found then sensitive antibiotics needs to be given
