Could Severe Pain In Back Lower Be A Of Kidney Issue Or Liver Problems?
Question: Hi,
I am 38 year old. I am over weight.
For the last one year I feel severe pain in back lower and middle also some times in my sleep.
Sometimes I am not able to sleep bec of the pain. Only in my sofa I don’t feel any pain.
So I wake in the mornings and sleep in sofa for sometime. My d vitamin levels were low last year around 23. Doctor prescribed tablets and after that I didn’t check my levels again.
What could be the reason for my pain mainly when I sleep on my stomach back is hurting too much. After waking up pain is like very little. And goes off. But when I press on back bones I can feel pain. Could it be be a of kidney issue or liver problems?
Please suggest

Brief Answer:
Can be vertebral column issues.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear ,
I read your query and here is my advice.
I don't think this is related to kidney or liver issues. I think that this back pain can be related to vertebral column issues like any spondylopathy, arthrosis or bulging discs. This is made worse during bad position while sleeping.
Sleeping on side and using a pillow between legs is a better sleeping position.
I think you may need to do a x-ray to check any vertebral column issues.
Anti-inflammatory drugs such ibuprofen can help reduce pain. Low vitamin d don't cause this pain
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.

Do I need to go for any other testing?
