Question : I had stage 3 ovarian cancer in 2019 years ago. Complete debunking. Olaparib after that (still on it). Everything has been perfect. Feeling great. My CA 125 was suddenly at 118 two weeks ago. Had sinus congestion and, especially, pain in my hands and wrists (arthritis) on the day I was tested. My finger was swollen and red, and the joint slightly deformed. Had a CT scan. NED. Still feeling great. Could the sinusitis and especially bout of arthritis have caused the rise in my CA 125? Thanks very much. XXXXXXX
Brief Answer:
Ca 125
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking
I been carefully through your questions. If the results of CT scanner are without pathological problems, than the CA 125 can be rise due to the infection etiology.
I will suggest you to repeat the exams after 1-2 months to see the tendency of tumor marker CA 125
Best regards
