Question : I have been taking doxycycline for about 3-4 months to control acne on my back that occurs when I work out. For the past month or so, I’ve had little to no libido. I have little desire for sex or masturbation. I am finding it difficult to get or maintain erections. When I do get an erection it’s difficult to ejaculate. I’m a healthy 38 yr old male. I’ve never had these problems before. I’ve always been very sexual. It’s actually causing some strain on my relationship. The only thing I can think of is the doxycycline. I’m not on any other meds. Could this be a side effect of the med? If so, how long after stopping the med will I regain my sex drive?

                                    Brief Answer:
Doesn't seem related to doxycycline.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I think that the erectile dysfunction and low libido you are having may not be related to doxycycline usage.
Doxycycline is not known to affect the sexual drive and activity.
Tell me if you are taking other supplements such anabolic steroids which are known to cause low libido and erectile dysfunction.
Taking vitamins such B3, B9,D,C, can help you with it. Also other supplements such horny goat weed is known to be a herbal supplement which increases libido, testosterone levels and improve erectile dysfunction.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
