Brief Answer:
Hand foot mouth disease
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
I have seen the pictures . This is a contagious viral infection called hand foot mouth disease caused by a virus.
No need to worry . It is harmless . At the most it will increase for a few more days and the settle on its own in the next few days . Overall it may take a week. No treatment or vaccine is available or needed except paracetamol for fever and pain .
Keep hydrating with plenty of liquids . Bathing can be done daily , any calamine lotion can be applied to soothe .
Don’t allow other kids to come near for a week as it is contagious but will settle by itself .
