Question: i am using doxycycline 100 mg once a day for 1 month now for acne on face as per the prescription.
but when i stop taking tablets acne appears again on face.
could you please let me know for how many weeks/months doxycycline should be taken to eradicate acne completely.

Hello and welcome ,

Oral antibiotics can be gjven for 3 months if required, in one go. In addition I would also suggest you to use a topical antiacne preparation like benzoyl peroxide 2.5% gel, twice daily for active acne lesions.
