I'm 24week pregnant and my TIFFA scan at 21 week states that my placenta is low lying. My Obgyn advised me for a complete bed rest without any travel, even for 2kms drive to my office.
However, when I browse the experience of others on internet, it is not that scary.
Could you please provide some precautions for me on this

Placenta praevia means that your placenta lies in the lower segment of uterus. The greatest risk of placenta previa is too much bleeding (hemorrhage). Bleeding often happens as the lower part of the uterus thins during the third trimester of pregnancy. This causes the area of the placenta over the cervix to bleed.
Any sternuous activity like travelling, jumping, coughing, constipation, intercourse, etc can cause a bleeding. Once the bleeding starts it becomes difficult to stop the bleeding. It can trigger premature rupture of membranes and pre term labor. It is best to avoid the bleeding as much as possible.
