Question: Recently I have undergone annual health check up and my reports show following parameters as alerts
Total protein 8.58 g/dL (Reference Range: 6.2 - 8.3 g/dL)
Globulin (Calculated) 3.77 g/dL (calc) (Reference Range: 2.1 - 3.7 g/dL (calc))
Potassium 3.32 mEq/L (Reference Range: 3.5 - 5.2 mEq/L)
Vitamin D 23 ng/mL (Reference Range: 30 - 100 ng/mL)
Eosinophils 700 cells/uL (Reference Range: 15 - 550 cells/uL)
Platelet Count 123 Thousand/uL (Reference Range: 140 - 400 Thousand/uL)
Hemoglobin 13.1 g/dL (Reference Range: 13.2 - 17.1 g/dL)

As you can see from the above data, Total protein, Globulin and Eosinophils are on the higher side . On the other hand Vitamin D,Hemoglobin, Potassium and Platelet Count are on the lower side.
Could you please share your thoughts on the aforementioned stats and suggest course of action. Thanks in advance for your help;

Brief Answer:
Healthy lifestyle + a vit D supplement.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
I havegone through your query and your attached report.

Considering all your test results , i can say that you are a healthy male.

First of all,you have prediabetes and high LDL cholesterol. Both are important risc factors for heart disease.
A healthy lifestyle,a low fat diet and more exercises are helpful to lose weight.
If you reach your healthy weight prediabetes will disappear.

All your liver test can be considerated normal. My advice is to add more proteins in your diet. Meats, milk, fish, eggs, beans, legumes and gains like wheat and quinoa are good sources of protein.
At the other i suggets to add potassium and iron-rich foods in your diet(bananas, avocados, tomatos, prunes, red meat, sea foods and green vegetables.) because your blood level of potassium and your hemoglobin is low.

You have not anemia, because your RBC,red cells parameters and your iron in your blood are within the range.

Your high eosinophil count can be suggestive of allergies and this is normal considering that you suffers from skin rashes and allergies.

Vit D suplemment 2000UI/Day can also be helpful to normalise your Vit D level.

Hope I have answered to all your questions.
Best regards.

Brief Answer:
Antihistamines.

Detailed Answer:
Hi again.
I appologise for the late reply.

Treatement of high eosinophile count depends to the cause of the condition but you should know that there are not specific cure for this condition.

Treatments might include stopping certain medications in the case of drug reactions or avoiding certain foods in the case of esophagitis), or even taking an anti-infective or anti-inflammatory medication.

About your skin rashes.if you were my patient ,i would suggets to take an antihistamine drug in the evening. It will help to ease the symptoms of allergie and at the same time it is a good remedy for a good sleep.

Also .i would recomment to do the allergy tests to identifie the causes of your allergie and to avoid them in the future.

Hope this is helpful.
Wish you all the best.
