DX With Metastatic Breast Cancer And Just Had A Petscan
Question: DX with metastatic breast cancer and just had a petscan after two lines of treatment. The final impression said: "No definite hypermetabolic lesion to suggest FDG avid locoregional recurrence or metastatic disease. Stable faint uptake in right small axillary scar, likely post procedure. Interval resolution of uptake in liver, pancreas and glenoid process of left scapula." What does this mean??

This pet report suggests that the treatment has been quite effective and has resulted in resolution of almost all lesions on scan.
So if otherwise feasible, the same treatment should be continued.
