Detailed Answer:
Hello,

A traumatic brain injury is a general risk factor for developing psychiatric problems, but is not directly causative. In other words, her behavior and difficulties should still be treated the same, with medication and psychotherapy.
Thanks

I have asked in the past if it could of caused damage to frontal lobe. Never really got a straight answer. Over the years she has made really bad choices, felony arrest, ungovernable as a youth, she does not seem to receive information correctly as most do,she will lie to others about her life, if you do not agree then you are her enemy. She has small children, we,her family are concerned for her and mostly for her children. I want her to get help so she can be a true mother to her children. No one seems to hear me, she can be very mean even to the children. This is mental illness, resulting in neglect and abuse of chikdren, 7 & 6 mths. Child services really hasn't helped. She is a narcissistic chameleon, I don't mean that as an insult. I'm a very concerned mother, grandmother. I think CPS and law enforcement think I am grandmother crying wolf. They are in Florida and grandparents don't seem to be taken seriously. I can't get it in my head that something has to happen to a child before someone will listen. It seems mental illness isn't taken seriously until someone is hurt. I want to help her to help herself , she doesn't see it. I can't stomach those small children are paying the price. I am hoping maybe it was that blow to the head and not just who she is.

Also and most concerning. She shows no remorse, no empathy, for anyone.

Detailed Answer:
It sounds like she would benefit from weekly or twice-weekly therapy, but she will need to come to this decision on her own.
