Question : Dear Doctor,

I am trying to find a solution to my terrible periods each month along with my PMDD - awful PMS symptoms which include fatigue, severe bloating and water retention, etc. My body's hormones are all a bit out of sorts I think because I actually do best when I am first pregnant, the hormones are needed to help me balance BUT i cannot figure out what is right.

I hold on to so much water, and some doctors have said I should try a birth control pill (to help with the bad pms and heavy periods) and the diuretic may help with the weight gain i have experienced.

Please share the thoughts and what could work for me.

Brief Answer:
Lifestyle changes, Tablet B LONG F

Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

As you have mentioned that there is a sort of hormone related issue.
PMS, premenstrual syndrome, is a group of variety of symptoms. But I will suggest you to manage it.
Firstly, I will suggest you to opt for a healthy diet and exercise regimen on daily basis.
Secondly, start for Tablet B LONG F, once day for at least 4 to 6 months. This helps to manage hormonal issues.
Also, try avoid refined sugar and bakery products and deep fried foods. Drink plenty of water in the day.
Include more of fresh fruits and salads and vegetables in the diet.

I would like to know about few things in detail.
1. Are you taking any medications at present?
2. Can you let me know your height and weight?
3. Have you done any ultrasonography ( sonography) report in the recent past?

Please feel free to communicate with me.
Your feedback will enable me to suggest you better treatment options.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
