Please help us with further prognosis and recurrence% of Hemangioma - Neck and Right Hand side. Etiology unknown. Undergone Neck Exploration and Laser excision
Brief Answer:
Prognosis is good
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Most of the Haemangiomas are infantile and they disappear spontaneously as the age increases.Complete resolution can occur before 9 years.
In adults, after treatment with Surgery and Laser, chances of recurrence are very low.
As it occurs in a blood vessel, during surgery the feeding vessel will be ligated and the swelling excised.Laser further destroys the tissue to prevent recurrence.
Prognosis is very good.
But, you should observe the site of the surgery whether any bulge is seen or not.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further
Wish you good health
Regards
