Question : Dear Sir I am been suffering from chronic Anaemia since many years .CBC report been attached .Kindly provide the exact cause and prognosis as per the peripheral smear report attached

I have gone through your query and reviewed attached report. Here is my advice.

As per your report, there can be several causes for chronic anemia.

Please let me know do you have history of fever, weight loss, decreased appetite, swelling in axillary or inguinal region, pedal edema?

For further assessment, I would suggest you to consult with hematologist for detailed clinical examination. He may procure complete iron profile, bone marrow study, vitamin B12 level, swelling biopsy SOS as per evaluation to rule out iron deficiency/megaloblastic anemia/malignancy. Further treatment and prognosis mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

Meanwhile, continue hematinic medicine. As per report, You may require multivitamin supplement. Take balanced diet & rich in iron.
