Question: Dear Sir I had one protected sex with unknown HIV status girl on 7-8 Feb night.Initially I had no fear but after one month I had anxiety for HIV.
I shared this to one psychologist and he advised antibody test which I did on 14th March and turned up Negative through rapid card.Again I got tested on 14th XXXXXXX with same lab same method and was negative.every time I tested for hep b and hep c also which came up negative. Then again I tested on 1st August and it was negative but I requested lab to hand over me the kits. I got the kits after 8 hours and report was negative too but as I was very much afraid of I checked the kit again n again and found a very very bleak mark with no colour at testing part but lab had mentioned over kit that it is negative at 20 min. Because of fear I went to Lal path labs main center and went for CMIA antibody test on 2nd August and index was .14 non reactive. I had my last test same CMIA at Lal path labs on 6 August on 181 days of possible exposure which came out non reactive with index value .08.
Sir I need you guidance whether I should consider this conclusive negative.just to share that I had one month anti depressant also.

Brief Answer:
Proves conclusively that you are HIV negative.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query in details as well as attached reports.

Here is my advice:

As per your history, CMIA tests done on 177th and 180th days were negative. So we can conclusively say that you are not infected with HIV.

As per many clinical studies, CMIA test is most accurate and standard method. Accuracy of this test is 99% after three months post exposure.

This test is based on detection of p24 antigen which can be detected earlier than the antibodies. So be relax, no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query.
Please let me know if I can assist you further...

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

CMIA test is more reliable, accurate than rapid tests. As CMIA tests were negative, so no need to worry and don't think about rapid tests.

If possible kindly attach rapid tests kit images, so I can get better idea.

Let me know I can assist you further... Thank you.
