Question : Dear Sir/Mam, I am a 70 female and BP, i had complaints of Pain in both knees, Operated for the same in 2007 documents attached, Please suggest what will be the complications after 11 years also the prognosis.

11 yrs good, Further prognosis generally good.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr. Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
B/L Total Knee replacement done 11 yrs ago and no problem till now- very good results.
The problems can come due to Implant wear and tear or weakness in the bones or abnormal biomechanics if you have pain in any part of lower limbs.
You have nearly 4-8 yrs before wear and tear may show as knee pain or swelling. Just watch that you are walking normally with a normal gait and keep your bones in good health.
Overall prognosis is good for next 4-8 yrs. After that reassessment should be done with x rays and clinical condition.
