Brief Answer:
Retinitis pigmentosa complications can be delayed if managed well

Detailed Answer:
hey thanks for your question. I am so sorry but till now Retinits pigmentosa has no known treatment but the central vision remains till a long time and we can try some low vision aids for the same which really help the patient . Also you can take multivitamins which are caretenoids based and are told to delay the progression . The complications are early devlopment of catarct and glaucoma , also devlopment of membranes and fluid in the central portion of the retina . These can be treated and you should remain under follow up for every 6 months with a good ophthalmologist . Also the children of the patient if any should also be checked for the same . hope my answer helps you. Regards and all the best
