Question : Hi All,

My father has diabetes from past 15 years and he never visited any doctor till date Except he does some yoga , but now a days he's feeling tiredness and become weak,
kindly suggest which are the tests needs to be done

Thanks for utilizing this forum for your father's health.
The tests required include:
- complete blood counts
- Fasting BG
- Post meal BG
- Hb A1c (HPLC method)
- Renal function tests e.g. Blood Urea, Serum Creatinine, e- GFR (Estimated
Glomerular Filtration Rate)
- Lipid profile
- ECG
- 2D Echocardiogram
- X-ray Chest (Digital)-PA projection
I feel this list be regarded as baseline tests. Some more tests might be required after we detect any abnormality in any test.
