Question : Hello, i had undergone laparoscopy test on monday. They said tubes are not blocked. I am alright. But my report is "SA.D&C done. Minimal curettings obtained. Scpoe inserted after pneumoperitonium. There are endometriotic spots over the surface uterus Tubes & Ovaries. POD free. CT positive on both sides." what is endometriosis? can i concieve with this? is there any problem in concieving? pls clear my doubts. thank u....

Endometriosis refers to the presence of uterine endometrium over ectopic places like tubes, ovaries and peritoneum. It is responsible for lower abdomen pain.
It is a common cause of infertility but the chances of conception depend on the extent of spread of the lesions. Conception with the help of assisted reproductive techniques like IVF is possible.
