Brief Answer:
Ovulation induction, oocyte quality, implantation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
With correction of gonadal hormonal levels PCOD can be corrected.
Clomipure contains enclomiphene which helps in ovulation induction.
Normoz tablet contains chromium picolinate, myoinositol, chiroinositol, vitamin D3 etc, which helps in supplying nutrients and also helps in improving oocyte quality.
Duphaston contains progesterone in the form dydrogesterone, which helps in implantation after conception and in continuation of pregnancy.
So, clomipure helps in ovulation induction, normoz helps in improving that oocyte quality. If you plan unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, the possibility of pregnancy is improved.
Once you conceive duphaston helps in implantation and continuation of pregnancy.
Ovulation time can be identified by ovulation kits or follicular study by ultrasound.
Take care.

Wat is oocyte?
And I have heard that taking duphaston will lead to withdrawal of bleeding ?

Is it safe to take duphaston?
Are there chances of getting pregnant taking duphaston and the other two tablets?

Brief Answer:
Help in increasing the chances of pregnancy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Oocyte is a cell in ovary which forms ovum.
When spermatozoa from male fertilizers ovum zygote will form and develop into fetus.
Using duphaston it self may not lead to withdrawal bleeding. Altering the time of intake of duphaston tablets or missing the tablet or stopping the tablets can lead to withdrawal bleeding in general.
But after conception even you stop taking duphaston also, if you are having sufficient natural progesterone levels, you may not get withdrawal bleeding.
Duphaston belongs to category C drugs in pregnancy, means animal studies have demonstrated few adverse effects on fetus whereas sufficient human studies are lacking. But generally used clinically as benefits overweigh the risks.
Better alternatives are natural micronized progesterones like susten, naturogest etc.
Using all these three drugs cannot give 100% guarantee of pregnancy but definitely these drugs will help in increasing the chances of pregnancy. Take care.

Brief Answer:
In one cycle possibility of ovulation around 80%, conception around 40%

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Yes, as you are going to take duphaston during last five days of the cycle, possibly that may not lead to withdrawal bleeding if you conceive.
In general, after taking ovulation induction drugs in one menstrual cycle, the possibility of ovulation is around 80% and possibility of pregnancy is around 40%. This percentage may vary from person to person depending on many other factors like fallopian tubal patency, uterine factors, male partner seminal parameters etc.
Good diet should include cereals, dhal, vegetables, fruits, eggs, milk, meat, fish etc, taking small quantities in more frequent intervals and deviding whole food into three large meals and two snacks are advisable.
Any type of regular exercises like walking, jogging, swimming etc for half an hour to forty five minutes per day can help in regularization of metabolic functions. You can continue regular walking in pregnancy also.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Intercourse around the time of ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Taking all medicines in prescribed schedule and mainly planning unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation are important for conception.
To get accurate result better to go for urine pregnancy test one week after missed period date.
Because immediately after missed period sometimes weak positive line can be seen and that can lead to confusion.
After intercourse better to be in lying down position for half an hour to forty five minutes.
Take care.

Answered by Dr. Sree Gouri SR (5 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Possibility of ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
The possibilities in your case are:
-After ovulation the ovum will be available for fertilization for around 12 to 24 hours. That could be one possible cause for positive ovulation test on 2nd.
-After ovulation minimal rise in basal body temperature can be seen under the influence of progesterone.
So, rise in body temperature may indicate that ovulation has occurred.
Better to plan unprotected intercourse for two more days after rise in basal body temperature, which can increase the possibility of pregnancy.
To find out the possibility of pregnancy, you have to wait till your expected date of periods.
If you miss your date, please go for urine pregnancy test once to find out the possibility of pregnancy.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
Indicates ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Dark line in ovulation kit usually indicates that ovulation has occurred. Sometimes depending on the shade level of fertility can also estimated.
Yes, having intercourse daily or at least in alternate days during the fertile period can help in getting pregnancy.
After ovulation temperature rise can be seen through out the second half of the cycle.
But morning time is the best time to record the temperature as with progression of day other factors like environmental changes can influence the temperature.
Take care.

Hi

I had noticed increase in Basel temp yesterday but today it was normal again
What that means?

Will temp increses and remains stable if I am preg?

And if it falls down that means I am not preg?

Brief Answer:
Indicates ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Increase in basal body temperature usually indicates that ovulation has occurred.
Irrespective of pregnancy it may remain elevated in the second half of the cycle under the influence of progesterone.
But as sometimes the rise will be minimal like 0.2 to 0.4°C, that may not be appreciated every time.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
you can test for pregnancy with early morning urine sample

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
As it is already six days over after your expected date of periods, now you can test for pregnancy.
Better to test with early morning midstream urine sample.
If you are continuing duphaston till now, your delay in periods could also be due to duphaston.
Just by symptoms we cannot come to one conclusion regarding pregnancy, because along with early pregnancy nausea and gastritis can also be seen in other conditions like premenstrual phase, simple gastritis etc.
So, better to undergo urine pregnancy test to come to one conclusion.
Take care.

And I am facing constipation from my missed date..is this due to in preg?

I will be testing tmr mng.

After taking medications I will not my miss my periods correct? Until and unless in preg. Or there are chance where I can miss after medication also? But I have ovulated on 16 I am sure coz I have tested it with isure and the test line was too dark.

Brief Answer:
Urine test two weeks after ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Usually duphaston should be taken in postovulatory period and after stopping duphaston, in the absence of pregnancy, you can have withdrawal bleeding in one week to ten days.
Symptoms like nausea, weakness etc symptoms can be seen in early pregnancy. But these symptoms may vary from person to person and pregnancy to pregnancy.
And having symptoms are not sufficient to confirm the pregnancy.
If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy. But usually urine pregnancy test kit can give accurate result after two weeks of ovulation.
You can go for urine pregnancy test tomorrow, depending on the result you can proceed further.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
healthy nutritious diet, regular antenatal checkups

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
I understand your concern.
Congratulations. During pregnancy your diet should include cereals, dhal, fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk, meat, fish etc.
Take food as three major and two minor meals, so that you can take less quantity at more frequent intervals.
If needed you can take the support of antiemetics to decrease nausea with your doctor's advice.
Regarding PCOD, along with maintenance of diet, better to practice regular mild exercises like walking for half an hour to forty five minutes per day, but avoid brisk walking.
Undergo all routine investigations including complete blood picture, blood sugar levels, thyroid profile etc.
Depending on the results further management can be planned.
Please undergo ultrasound, which helps in finding out the gestational age and in detecting the possibility of twins.
If your doctor recommends go for natural micronized progesterone supplements to support the pregnancy.
Plan for glucose tolerance test at around 20 to 22 weeks to detect the possibility of gestational diabetes.
Taking small quantity of gelusil once may not cause much problem.
Take care.

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Gelusil belongs to category N (non specified) drugs in pregnancy according to FDA, means its effects on pregnancy and fetus are not known.
But according to clinical practice taking small quantities of gelusil in two occasions may not lead to much problem.
