Do HCG Shots With Fertomid Help In Conception?
Question: Hi,
I am having polysystic left Ovary. I am trying to conceive for last 3-4 months. Last to last period date was 29/07/2016. Last month did follicular studies and then on D 16 one follicle found of 22mm*12mm. Taken LUPI HCG 5000 iu injection on the same day. Then took Endogest 200 SR 10 tablets from D 17 once daily. Then on 25/08/2016 I had my next period. This month my Doctor started ovulation induction. I have taken Fertomid 50 mg from D2 to D6. Yesterday(05/09/2016) was my D12, I did follicular study, one domminant follicle found in left ovary size 26mm*19mm. I taken LUPI HCG 5000 iu injection around 6'oclock. Me and my partner were meeting since D11 will do that till D17. Is there any other precautions I should take? Should I continue exercises like stretching , jogging, suryanamasker etc.? Please guide me.

You have been rightly placed on the OVULATION INDUCTION PROTOCOL and as the size of follicle is more than 22mm, HCG injection was rightly given yesterday. Ovulation may occur in next 24-36 hrs. So you may practice intercourse regularly and frequently. Also try practicing intercourse in side to side position and also after ejaculation, place 2 pillows under your waist and lie down for next 15 minutes to help spermatic fluid to enter the cervical opening.
Exercises can be done, as there is no contraindication to it. Be positive and stay stress free.

Thanks much Doctor. Should I take any precautions? My doctor advised me not to do heavy work for next 5 days after taking LUPI HCG 5000 iu injection. One thing we generally do intercourse at night only as we both are working. If we will do intercourse daily, will it decrease the sperm count? My doctor advised me to take Endogest 200 SR tablets from today once daily 10 tablets. How much exercises I can do like 30 mins or 1 hour? Can I continue sit up exercises?]

RESTRICT EXERCISES TO BRISK WALKING ALONE FOR NEXT ONE WEEK, NO SITS UPS.
Once a day intercourse is not enough, it should be Twice or thrice a day hence. The more the frequency the better are the chances. Aim is to deposit sperms in the reproductive tract. Concentration shall be maintained though the ejaculate may reduce.
