Do I Need An Immediate Medical Attention For A Rash Appeared On The Chest Following A Diagnosis Of Viral Infection?

Question: I was diagnosed with a viral infection on 2/11/18. paperwork they sent home with me said to seek immediate care if I developed an unusual rash. The rash is a series of red spots medium size on my chest in the folds of my breasts. is this what I should report to my doctor? if so why seek immediate care? thank you.
Brief Answer:
Complications, infectious or possible allergy.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
Viral infections can be very contagious and sometimes when they are accompanied by rash, the contact with pregnant woman or children should be avoided. They maybe want to confirm the type of rash and also keep you under observation for complications and in quarantine to prevent transmission.
One other cause to seek immediate care is an allergy from a specific medication you are taking.
Hope this is helpful.
