Brief Answer:
Visit a physiotherapist to learn exercises.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

For chronic knee weakness dur to multiple injuries , if you do not have any deformity- I would recommend visit to a physiotherapist who will teach you the exercises to be done on regular basis. Building up thigh muscles will also help in relieving pain and improving limp.
If you feel that there is no adequate improvement in about a month , then you may get an MRI or consult orthopedic surgeon.

Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
