Brief Answer:
it would be best to be seen

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Yes, it would be best to be reassessed by your doctor to make sure that a clot has not recurred.

The symptoms that you are describing, as you would know, can occur with a clot (dvt). It is possible that it did not completely resolve or has recurred.

There are other causes as well such as trauma or infection or allergic reaction. In addition, in persons with a previous history of a DVT, the valves in the leg can sometimes cause problems, the condition is called post thrombotic syndrome or postphlebitic syndrome- this can cause pain, swelling and darkening of the skin.-this does not usually occur suddenly however.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions.

Regards
