Question : Hi Dr., This is Phani XXXXXXX 32yrs old. I am suffering from ADPKD. I have made health check and found my cysts size is increased. Do I need to take any extra care a part from taking Tablets for Blood Pressure. Also we are trying for children are we good to go or is there anything I should take care about.

There is no specific treatment for ADPKD.For rapidly progressive kidney disease,Tolvaptan is used which reduces the cysts size.
You should continue taking treatment for Hypertension.
Chances of getting ADPKD is 50% for your child.You can consult a Genetic expert regarding this.
