Question : this is a photo of the (healing???) abscess I'm on antibiotics for. I'm almost done with them and it looks pretty bad. The MD I've been communicating with told me to upload this image and it would be forwarded to him.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be healing. Look out if the area seems warm and inflamed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic.

I have gone through your querry and have checked the attached image. I have also gone through your previous query which is currently in closed state.

I would need to ask specifically:
-The name of antibiotic used. Orally or by injection, if so, where. Whether the MRSA is sentivite to the antibiotic on the antibiogram?
-The exact location of the abscess and whether the size has increased.

Going by the image, the abscess seems to be in healing stage. Unless it is hot or oozing, I would not worry about the redness. It is only it is draing pus that I would get alarme and insist you to visit a doctor.

Let me know if you wish to know anything specific.

Regards
