Brief Answer:
need urinalysis and blood tests for kidney function

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for your question.
It is important for your to see a doctor and have a urinalysis done to make sure that you do not have an infection. Infections in the bladder may move up to the kidneys and cause very serious infections in the kidneys causing the need for hospitalization. This can be prevented if bladder infections are treated early. As you probably know one complication of XXXXXXX River Virus is glomerulonephritis, an inflammatory condition in the kidney. Your doctors can monitor you for this by checking your urine and doing blood tests to monitor kidney function. If you have hypertension that needs to be treated as well to further protect your kidney function. Please see a doctor as soon as possible.
Regards,
Dr. Robinson
