Do Hemorrhoids And Constipation With Blood Discharge Suggest Anal Cancer?

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Feb 2016
Question: I am considered about anal cancer. I noticed two small hemoroids and I had a bit of constipation but have been having many bowel movements and when I wiped i say a little bit of blood of toilet paper.
What could this be?

Brief Answer:
Inconclusive and early to say it as an anal cancer !!!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the consultation at my virtual clinic!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I will take care all of your medical concerns today and will put my best efforts to get you out of this situation.

Based on the details given and recent situation you have, it will be unjustified to label it or worry about it to be an anal cancer.

It can be simply the bleeding hemorrhoids that come on wiping. As you also have constipation it is highly likely to be a diagnosis.

Other probability very commonly seen with history of constipation is Anal Fissure (breach in the lining of terminal rectal mucosa and anus). It also bleeds on defecation (bowel movement).

I preferably suggest you to start a bland diet. Least proteins, no spices, fried or junk foods, alcohol, beverages, caffeinated drinks etc. Start taking ORAL REHYDRATION SOLUTION, CITRUCEL DIETARY FIBER SUPPLEMENT WITH PLENTY OF WATER, GLYCERINE SUPPOSITORIES FOR ADULTS. Also do as much physical activity as you can. Do use SITZ BATH many times a day. Apply PROCORT RECTAL OINTMENT inside rectum and around anus.

Please consult a Gastroentrologist without any delay. He will do complete physical examination and will run a battery of tests on you to confirm what's actually going on in there. Rectal or anal cancer, colonic disease can be ruled out on recto-sihmoidoscopy. They will go for a camera assisted diagnostic approach to rule out the major causes of the symptoms you are suffering from. Definitive treatment goes accordingly.

Hope I answered all of your questions. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you with expert opinion. Please don't forget to give rating (5 stars if agreed) and write a review to help me assist my patients in a better way; and, please don't forget to 'Close This Discussion'.
For any disease you have, a timely follow-up is very necessary regarding the treatment efficacy and to see if there is a need to change the treatment options. So keep a follow up to see how you doing (Always write down my name in the start of your questions at this forum & I will be with you in no time).

I had cervix removed in April but my last vaginal spear was atypical cells of unknown significance so I'm really concerned that these dark spots are somewhat connected . Please tell me what you think

Brief Answer:
Until we go for diagnostics, nothing can be correlated!

Detailed Answer:
It is my pleasure to serve you in connection to your previous query. As I have got more details about your health issues I want to assure you tha it is not necessarily interrelated or connected chain of events.

Actually your vaginal and cervical issues if in any way may be related, we can't just say unless we have gone for diagnostic studies. So I preferably suggest the same to you as aforementioned. I feel sorry that you previously had cervical removal due to malignancy. I hope for the best times ahead for you.

I hope it's all the explanation for your queries. Please don't hesitate if you have further questions. I will be there with you in no time. If satisfied here, please give your valuable feedback review and rating (may be five stars) and please click on "close the discussion".

Best Regards!
