Question : I have a17cm mass on catscan that may be a fibroid or an ovarian cyst. I have had abdominal pain and distention for at least2 weeks that's been increasing. ER says its not an emergency, but I feel it needs help soon. Will Ibe able to see aGYN soon or have to wait several weeks?

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concerns. I would strongly insist you to upload the CAT Scan report. Features of a fibroid are significantly different from that of an ovarian cyst and the locations are also likely to be different. The pain could be related but I would need more inputs to be able to confirm. As of now, the CAT Scan report should suffice. Based on that I would surely guide you further and would be able to suggest whether you need an urgent gynecological consultation.
